This programme sources talented Deaf learners from FTH:K's LEVEL 1 programmes and offers additional weekly training in theatre making and performance skills to Deaf learners in order to fast-track their development and groom them for potential employment either in FTH:K or other companies. This LEVEL is more advanced than the Introductory Programme and serves as an audition process to fill positions in FTH:K's LEVEL 3 programme. The Advanced LEVEL 2 Programme is new to the Tell-Tale Signs portfolio and aims to groom promising Deaf learners in their final year of schooling for employment in FTH:K. Participants in this programme receive remunerated for their involvement.
Intermediate Training Programme
WHO: Deaf learners selected from the LEVEL 1 Programme AGES: 16 - 18 years WHERE: Woodstock, Western Cape WHEN: Friday (1 full afternoon weekly) WHAT: Performance and theatre making skills. The final 4 months of the programme are dedicated to the conceptualising, rehearsing and presenting of a half-hour performance at various venues and events related to the LEVEL 1 programme (Dominican School Arts and Culture Day, NID, De La Bat School). Advanced Intermediate Training Programme
WHO: Deaf learners selected from the Intermediate Training Programme, in their final year of schooling AGES: 17 - 18 years WHERE: Wynberg, Western Cape WHEN: Tuesday and Wednesday (2 weekly classes) WHAT: Performance and theatre making skills. The final 4 months are dedicated to the conceptualising, rehearsing and presenting of a half-hour performance at various venues and events related to the LEVEL 1 programme (Dominican School Arts and Culture Day, NID, De La Bat School).
